Name, Title

Trevor Jones is the owner of Top Flight Performance. He is a Certified Strength (CSCS) and has a Masters Degree in Exercise Science.

After his collegiate baseball career ended, he had a short professional career in independent baseball but did not achieve the results he wanted. Instead of being disappointed, Trevor strived to figure out why he didn’t reach his full potential. All of this sparked his desire to help athletes on the field and in the weight room. His goal is to teach the importance of strength training, consistency, and discipline.

Trevor’s focus on connecting with each athlete on a personal level sets him apart. He has built a welcoming and laid-back environment in his gym, while still promoting healthy competition. In addition to Top Flight, Trevor is a strength and conditioning coach with Johnson County Community College. He is trusted by athletes who are affiliated with MLB, collegiate sports associations, and top HS prospects. With his programming, athletes will learn to improve speed, agility, overall power & strength, stability, body awareness, flexibility, and injury prevention.

Zach played collegiate baseball at MidAmerica Nazarene University and was part of the 2014 team that won the school's first conference championship in 30 years. After finishing his collegiate career, Zach started coaching at a local travel organization. In this organization he served as a head coach, private instructor, and helped run the strength and conditioning program. He then took a position working in the Blue Valley School District and was also part of the Blue Valley Northwest coaching staff. In the two years he was there, one of his responsibilities was to create the offseason strength and conditioning program for the baseball team. Zach is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

After his coaching experience though BVNW and summer ball, Zach decided to take a step towards making baseball more of a career. This involved shadowing the Tampa Bay Rays Midwest Regional Scout. As a Volunteer Amateur Scout, he wrote reports, took film, reported back to the Regional Scout, and watched the best amateur players in the KC area. Gaining this experience helped him make the jump to coaching collegiate baseball.

His first stop was at Hesston College as the hitting coach and strength coordinator. During his two years there the offense broke single season records in home runs, runs in an inning, and the team set the single season mark for wins. His last stop was at his Alma Mater, MidAmerica Nazarene University, where he was also the hitting coach and strength coordinator for the team. In 2023 the team went back to the NAIA World Series, got its first win there in program history, and the offense led the conference in extra base hits.

Zach's love for the development process, working with athletes, utilizing a well-designed and executed strength and conditioning program has led him to become a part of the staff at Top Flight Performance.
